Gopal Garden Sunday School
We all agree it takes a village to raise a Child! In today’s world, our kids go through a lot in terms of pressure, competition, rejection, acceptance etc. If we invest time and groom them well, we can realize the fruit of our labor after a few years. Children today are very smart academically but require adequate social, moral and ethical guidelines for them to blossom as healthy individuals. iPods, iPads, and video games are making them very impersonal and insensitive. TV is making this scenario worse.
Children are like wet cement. Whatever you write on it initially remains. Hence it is important to bring them up in a spiritual environment where they learn family values, community values, spiritual values, and discipline.
Gopal Garden Sunday school is an KCC educational initiative aimed towards providing holistic education to children of Grand Rapids and surrounding areas by inculcating values, life-oriented skills and competencies to help build a life of character and integrity.
This is a weekly program for children of 5 years and above to come together every Sunday to learn about the Vedic culture, traditions and profound spiritual values in a loving environment. This program will provide the foundation for building character in children from an early age.
The curriculum is designed on the basis of Vedic books written by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the leading exponent of Vedic Science. These books teach the timeless Vedic science with stories and lessons that help children develop character and personality.
